Aristos be ready to buy the new BB for your GFs :Leaked video shows that BlackBerry IS working on a five-inch touchscreen phone called the A10 also nickname aristo OSE

BlackBerry is rumoured to be working on a 5-inch touchscreen handset called the A10, or 'Aristo.'
Speculation has been mounting since last week when images of the device surfaced online and now a leaked video and presentation slide, believed to show the phone's full specifications, add weight to these rumours.
The YouTube video has since been removed but screengrabs taken by Crackberry - the BlackBerry fan forum - suggest that the A10 will have a 5-inch touchscreen, an 8MP camera, a dual-core processor with a quad-core GPU and will run the next version of the BlackBerry operating system, BB 10.2.
If the rumours and leaked specifications are true, the A10 will directly compete with Samsung's 5-inch Galaxy S4 handset. The presentation slide showing the A10's specifictions appeared on the Crackberry forum at the weekend.
It appears to come directly from BlackBerry because it has BlackBerry branding in the top left-hand corner as well as a 'BlackBerry confidential - shared under NDA'.
BlackBerry told MailOnline it did not comment on rumours.
The full list of specifications show that the A10 is expected to have a dual-core 1.7Ghz Qualcommon processor with a quad-core CPU.
It is also shown as potentially having 2GB RAM.
This quad-core would make the device faster at playing games, for example, and could improve the phone's battery life, which is listed as a 2800 mAh.
If this battery specification is accurate, it would make the A10 more powerful than the current batteries in the Samsung and Apple flagship model
It will have a 5-inch OLED screen with a 1280x270 resolution and a pixel density of 295 PPI.
Although this is the same size as Samsung's Galaxy S4 screen, the Korean handset has a higher resolution - 1080x1920 pixels - and a higher PPI at 441.
These elements make the screen images sharper and clearer.
The A10 is shown as being 9.4mm thick, which is much thicker than Samsung's 7.9mm handset and Apple's 7.6mm iPhone 5.
Elsewhere on the slide, the A10 is shown as having an 8MP rear-facing camera and a 2.5MP on the front of the device.

It is rumoured to launch with 16GB of internal storage, micro USB and HDMI and NFC built-in.
BlackBerry launched its BB 10 operating system with its Z10 and Q10 handsets last year and it is said to be working on the next version, BB 10.2.
It is likely that the A10 will launch either around the same time, or be the first handset to launch with the updated system.
The video, leaked earlier this week on YouTube, was posted by accessory maker Vivix.
In the video an unknown person gives a brief look at what's rumoured to be the A10 'Aristo' and is shown apparently showing off a first version of the handset.
The video has since been removed.
The BlackBerry A10 would be larger and more powerful than the Apple iPhone 5's 4-inch screen.
However, Apple is rumoured to be working on a follow-up handset, dubbed the iPhone 5S, due to be released in September.

Man sets pregnant lover ablaze

Culled from Sunnewsonline.com
Until June 23, not many could have suspected that all was not well between Emeka Agu, 28, and his pregnant girlfriend, Miss Bidemi Akinsolufe. That night, disaster struck in their home in Ayobo area of Lagos, as Emeka allegedly set his lover ablaze.
The reason? To prevent the lady from charming other men with her beauty. Nearly a month after, Bidemi still writhes in pain at the Gbagada General Hospital, even as Emeka awaits his date with the law. The reporter met the badly burnt lady on her hospital bed and she narrated what led to the sad incident.
“I started dating him last year but my boyfriend is very jealous. Even whenever my sister called me, he would want to call back to be sure it wasn’t a man that called me. “He was working before and had his own place but he later lost his job and had no place to stay. I secured a mini-flat in Ayetoro and asked him to join me there.

We had been living together since then. “Recently, when I took in, he asked me to stop working and I did. But he drinks a lot. He spends his money on alcohol and I always told him that I was worried that his liver might be destroyed. He doesn’t trust me; he thinks I date other men.

“He used to work in the night as a bouncer in a hotel. The day before he set me on fire, his former boss had summoned him and I thought maybe the man wanted to offer him a job. So, on the morning of that day, Sunday, June 23, I called him to know if he had gone to the man’s place.

As we were speaking on the phone, he told me he was already high. And I asked him why he should spend his money on alcohol when I was hungry at home. “I was angry, so I went to report him to his friend. His friend then called him and talked some sense into him. But when he knew that I was with his friend, he became angry and accused his friend of sleeping with me. He said he would suck my blood for sleeping with his friend.

I was even explaining to him that I couldn’t be sleeping around with my pregnancy but he wasn’t convinced. He began to call me names, that I was a useless woman. He later said it was all right, that he wasn’t angry again.

So, I went back home. “When I got back home, one of my friends told me that Emeka had reported me to her, saying I locked him outside in the rain. So, when I got to our apartment, I begged him and my friend also begged him. He said he was no longer angry but I didn’t know he still had plans to deal with me.

“After a while, he pretended as if he wanted to go to the toilet and while walking past me, he suddenly gave me a terrible slap. Then he began to beat me. In fact, I had never been so thoroughly beaten since I was born.

He had only slapped me on two earlier occasions. That night, I was yelling for help but I guessed people weren’t hearing me outside. I was crying and threatening to pack out of the apartment. “Then he said he would destroy my beauty. But I didn’t believe he would do anything so devilish.
Then he went to the kitchen, brought out the stove and poured the kerosene on me. He lit a match and threw it at me and I was burning. I rushed to the kitchen to get water but he was pushing the buckets of water away. I was yelling and crying.

Then after some time, he began to say to me: ‘My babe, your face is burnt, I’m sorry.’ “I didn’t even know that my face was badly burnt. I initially thought my hands were the only parts affected until much later when I saw my face in the mirror.
“When he realised the damage he had done, he began to beg me, saying he would marry me. He said I should stay inside, that he would go and get raw pap to apply on the burnt parts of my body. But as he wanted to go out of the apartment, I followed him. He said he wasn’t running away, that he just wanted to get the pap and get back. And I said okay, but I was following him.

He kept pushing me back but I insisted on following him out. Later, one of our neighbours, a man, knocked on our door and asked what was wrong with me. He replied that there was no problem but I shouted that the man should come in to save my life.

I told the man that the door wasn’t locked, that he should push it. Eventually other neighbours came and pushed the door open and I immediately ran outside so that everyone could see me. I think that was when I passed out.” After she lost consciousness, some of her neighbours quickly rushed her to the nearest hospital from where she was transferred to the Gbagada General Hospital. Meanwhile, the neighbours also alerted the police in Ayobo, who came to arrest Emeka.

Bidemi also told the reporter: “He told me it was the devil’s handiwork but I know God would repay him. I leave everything to God. I have been hospitalised here now since then, and my people have been spending money on me.” “Initially, I thought no man would want me any longer since he had destroyed my face. But my people said no, that they wouldn’t allow me near him again.

They said he should write an undertaking that he wouldn’t come after me but I’ve been told that, even with an undertaking, he might still try to harm me. I will have the baby but he must never ask for my child. I want him to face the music. I want justice to be done.”

Bidemi’s mother, Mrs. Nike Adeyemi, also spoke with the reporter. Said she: “Some good neighbours took my daughter to a nearby hospital and asked her boyfriend to stay with her there. They then secretly invited policemen to arrest him. We are already in court.” “I have spent all I have to treat my daughter.

None of Emeka’s people has paid a dime out of the heavy hospital bills. We have spent over N200, 000 now and we are still spending. The doctor said we would need, at least, N500, 000 for comprehensive treatment for my daughter because her face and hands have been badly burnt.
You can see the wounds are still looking fresh even after over three weeks. I don’t even have any money for her treatment any more.

I’m so fed up. One of Emeka’s sisters came to me with policemen from Ikoyi. She offered to pay me N40, 000 so that the boy would be released. I refused to collect the money because I said it was even an insult for her to offer that little amount when we were being asked to bring N500, 000.
“I don’t even know where to turn to for help. Please, help me beg compassionate Nigerians to come to our aid. I don’t want my daughter to die. I think we will also have to do something about her pregnancy because I don’t ever want her to have anything to do with that boy any longer.”
The reporter spoke with Emeka’s sister, who allegedly offered N40, 000 to Bidemi’s family. Her words: “I don’t know what to do again. I didn’t know when Emeka and Bidemi started their friendship.

I didn’t send him to set the girl ablaze. I’m even tired of everything. I am a widow myself and I don’t have money. I have even used the N40, 000 that I offered her to take care of some other issues. I’m tired of the whole issue and I don’t know what to do.”

6 trampled to death in scramble for Ramadan largesse

Six people were reported to have died in a stampede that broke out in front of a house belonging to a Gusau-based millionaire, Alhaji Shehu Danfulani Maidoya, early yesterday.

Vanguard gathered that in line with the spirit of Ramadan, the businessman had made it a point duty to assist the poor in the past 40 years.

According to the sources, this time around Maidoya planned to distribute some food items as usual, hence making hundreds of the villagers to gather in front of his house.

Hundreds of people were said to have trooped  to his house as early as 5 a.m making it difficult for those assigned to distribute the food items to control the crowd.

It was alleged that some of those scrambling to get a share of the food items succeeded in pulling down the main gate of the building thereby giving access to many others.

Vanguard learnt that as a result of the development, stampede ensued, leading to the trampling of six people to death.

At press time, the corpses of the six people had been deposited at  the Federal Medical Centre mortuary, Gusau.

The state Police Commissioner, Mr Usman Gwary, confirmed the death of the six people, adding that normalcy had been restored at the scene as, according to him, the police had dispersed the crowd.

Why we must rally round Amaechi – Tinubu

Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN leader, Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu has urged support for Governor Chibuke Amaechi of Rivers State from the hierarchy of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, who he claimed, have added public brawling to their achievements.

In a terse statement issued by his media office last night, Tinubu described the ensuing crisis in Rivers State as an orchestrated plan that is in line with the PDP’s definition of democracy where minority opinion prevails over majority. He thus warned that Nigerians must rally round the embattled governor and chairman of the Nigerian Governors’ Forum, NGF, to ensure that democracy is not re-defined.

He cited the recent election for the chairman of the NGF and the quest of five members of the Rivers State legislature to dominate the others as illustrations of how far the PDP would go to achieve its aims even against reason.

While urging all Nigerians to rally round Amaechi, Tinubu traced the governor’s problem to the face off over ownership of some disputed oil wells between Rivers and Bayelsa States as part of the reasons for the onslaught against Governor Amaechi.

“The PDP appears to have added public brawling to its list of accomplishments. The self-proclaimed largest party in Africa has turned into a fight club that employs the police as ushers for its matches,” Tinubu said.
“There is no way the police and the small number of five lawmakers would act so brazenly unless they receive instructions for their high places. Nigerians must ask, Is this the way the President Jonathan intends to transform Nigeria? By turning it from an imperfect democracy into a perfect mess. A total lack of respect for constitutional democracy is what we are witnessing. Governor Rotimi Amaechi swore an oath to protect and serve the people of Rivers State.”

“My advice is that we should not leave Governor Amaechi to suffer his fate alone. All true democrats must defend constitutional democracy and true federalism. In what stable and functioning democracy can you find a President or his agents bully a governor this way or violate the federal constitution so openly with complete impunity?”

“Discerning minds must locate the present crisis in the suspected injustice in the Bayelsa and Rivers State oil boundary legal battle. For standing up in defence of the interest of his people, Governor Amaechi became a marked person.”

In some ways, this Rivers episode is unsurprising. Over and over again, the PDP has attempted to scuttle fair elections and genuine democratic processes. Undermining democracy has become a central plank in the party’s manifesto. What happened in the Rivers House is one more reminder. PDP leaders hold democracy in contempt and will trample it if given the slightest opportunity. If they invert the relatively small numbers involved in the Nigerian Governors Forum (NGF) and the Rivers State House, what they might do to general elections involving such a large population as ours is a hard piece of wood to chew.”

“If we continue in this way, we are heading for an encounter with fate that will leave no one unscathed. These people need to realize they can’t lord over 150 million people as if they had replaced our colonial masters. You cannot attempt to control the mind of every person only to threaten, intimidate and assault people who do not fall perfectly in line.  Such a world is not a world of democracy. Such a place is the land of elected dictatorship and a dictator is unacceptable even if he initially gained office through the ballot.”

“Perhaps we now know why the PDP is such a poor steward of democracy. It is hard to be a good democrat without knowing how to count properly and this crew cannot count. During the NGF debacle, they claimed that 16 was larger than 19. Now in Rivers, they claim 5 outnumbers 27. If they can’t count, how can we count on them to improve the nation?  If they can’t add, it is a mistake to rely on them to add anything good to our lives. For reasons best known to them, they have tried to pin the Rivers governor to the wall.”
”In doing so, they have turned Rivers into an embattled state. Those of us living in other states should not be indifferent. What is happening in Rivers today can come to your state tomorrow if the PDP holds sway. Events in that state are but a symbol and a forecast. As long as the current PDP leadership holds forth, we will have many rivers to cross before this land sees genuine democracy.”

Woman roasts 7-yr-old step-son’s hand

Awwal and the burnt hand.
The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a woman, Mrs Aminot Otun, for roasting the right hand of her seven-year-old step-son,  Awwal Otun, last Thursday.

Awwal’s hand was allegedly roasted for adding drops of liquid disinfectant to his bath water.

According to Ngozi Ekwerike-Okoro, President, Child to Child Network, a Non Governmental Organisation, NGO, a distressed call from one of  Otun’s neighbours at 59, Suenu Street, Surulere, Lagos saved Awwal’s life.

Awwal was rushed to the Mother and Child Hospital at Gbaja where another drama ensued as the doctor on duty refused to treat or admit the boy despite pleas that the hospital was built purposely for mothers and children in the state.

According to his teachers, Awwal, who is in primary one, should not be allowed to go back to his step-mother because he is always coming to school with bruises as the neighbours who pleaded anonymity said that had been the normal punishment for the boy’s mistakes.

Awwal was later taken to a nearby private hospital for treatment and he is currently at Juvenile Welfare Centre of Alakara Police Station.

The story
According to  Ngozi, “On July 11, 2013, Awwal was rushed to the Randle General Hospital, Mother and Child Centre, Gbaja, at about 6:30pm after a distress call from neighbours.

“He sustained serious injuries from fire burns inflicted on him by the step-mother who is now in police custody.

“At the hospital, we requested to see the welfare officer who we were told had closed for the day but after narrating our mission to one of the staff she referred us to the chief matron.  The chief matron issued an emergency card to the boy and directed him to see the doctor.

“The doctor, however, refused to attend to the boy, because according to her, the hospital did not have enough space to accommodate the boy, as he would  need admission for intensive care.

“We pleaded with the doctor to at least administer some first aid on the boy but she refused. We went back to the chief matron who told us after consulting with the doctor  that Surulere General Hospital (Mother and Child Centre) does not have the facility to deal with such cases. They said our best chance would be to go to Ikeja General Hospital.

“We eventually left in disappointment and went to a private hospital in Mushin, close to the juvenile centre, where he got immediate attention and  was treated free of charge.

Awwal recounts ordeal
.
The boy said he added small quantity of Izal disinfectant to his bath water and his step mother got angry and put his hand on a burning stove since Sunday and he was not taken to hospital till Thursday when neighbours called the Lagos State Child Protection Network who mobilised the JWC Alakara to rescue him.

Patience Jonathan blames elders for fuelling Rivers crisis

Wife of the President, Mrs. Patience Jonathan, on Monday faulted the contributions of some unnamed persons she referred to as “otherwise respected elders” who, by their views, had been contributing to the crisis in Rivers State.

While describing their utterances as unfortunate, she called on all feuding parties in the state to sheathe their swords in the interest of innocent women and children, who, she said, would naturally be victims of the mayhem.

The president’s wife’s position was contained in a statement by  her spokesman, Mr. Ayo Osinlu.

The statement read, “We therefore call on elders of the state to position themselves appropriately in the circumstances, and continue to seek the highest good of Rivers State and its people, by stone-walling the activities of the few, who would rather fan little embers into a consuming inferno.

“Recent experience whereby certain otherwise respected elders of the country, both from within and outside Rivers State, were canvassing views that seemed to intensify the heat in Rivers State, is certainly unfortunate.”

Mrs. Jonathan, who has been roundly criticised as one of the masterminds of the crisis alongside her husband, called on warring politicians in the state to spare a thought for the social, political and economic costs of the crisis, and consider an urgent way to resolve all political differences.

She warned all stakeholders to ensure that the situation in the state did not degenerate to a level that could be hijacked by miscreants and hoodlums, thus exposing everyone to insecurity from which there might be no easy escape. Chukwudi Akasike, Port Harocurt

Meanwhile, the senator, representing Rivers South-East in the National Assembly, Senator Magnus Abe, has declared that no amount of opposition can remove the Rivers State Governor, Mr. Rotimi Amaechi.

Abe, who bared his mind on the political crisis rocking the state, on Monday, explained that any move to impeach Amaechi would not succeed because the governor was “ordained by God.”
Speaking during the presentation of scholarship to 77 university undergraduates from Rivers South-East in Khana Local Government Area, Abe appealed to the people of the state not to be distracted by the political situation in the state.

He said, “We are living at a time when politicians of all shades are going around collecting young people, collecting people’s children; daughters and sons to help them pursue their personal ambitions or their public aspirations.”

Also, 17 suspended councillors of Obio/Akpor Local Government Area have faulted the resolution of the House of Representatives to take over the affairs of the Rivers State House of Assembly.
Members of the House of Assembly had engaged one another in a free-for-all, following an attempt by five lawmakers to impeach the Speaker of the 32-member House, Mr. Otelemaba Amachree.
The councillors, who were suspended alongside the chairman of the council, Mr. Timothy Nsirim, and his vice, Mr. Solomon Eke, for an alleged financial recklessness and abuse of office, described the resolution of the federal lawmakers as hasty and selective.

Speaking with newsmen in Orazu, Obio/Akpor on Monday, Chief Whip of the Obio/Akpor Legislative Assembly, Mr. Aruchi Amechi, argued that the councillor should have been protected when they were suspended by the House of Assembly.

Amechi said, “We express reservation over the selective manner the House of Representatives decided to intervene in the State House of Assembly matter. While our legislative council was first hit, our senior colleagues did not deem it fit to come to our aid.”
As part of the ongoing crackdown on Boko Haram insurgents, the Defence Headquarters on Monday confirmed the arrest of the in-laws of the leader of the sect, Imam Abubakar Shekau.

The Defence Spokesman, Brig. Gen Chris Olukolade, made this known during  a  press briefing by  the Joint Security Services Public Information Committee in Abuja on Monday.

Olukolade however did not give the names of Shekau’s in-laws, whom he said were arrested during a  cordon and search operation in Bulabulin area  of  Maiduguri last week.

Apart from  more corpses  found   in a soak-away  in the area, underground tunnels and bunkers as well as high calibre weapons were discovered by the operatives.

He said,  “Troops on cordon and search operations in Bulabulin area in Maiduguri last week discovered a vast network of underground tunnels connecting houses and many bunkers some which have the capacity to accommodate over 100 persons.

“More corpses were also discovered in a soak-away.  Various weapons were  found  in the same area.   Abubakar Shekau’s in-laws were picked up in the raid in  which various audio recordings of  terrorists messages were also discovered.

“Recovery is made almost on a daily basis as the operation progresses. The recovery, among others,  includes  eight AK47 assault rifles, one  G-3 rifle, nine  AK-47 magazines, one  Rocket Propelled Grenade charger, and five  Rocket Propelled Grenade.

“Three  FMC magazine, one  G3 magazine, 14 IEDs (Improvised Explosive Devices)  and 166 rounds of 7.62mm Special  had also been recovered.  Others are, three 35mm Bazooka; 34 rounds of 5.56mm ammunition, 1,740 rounds of 303 inch, 10 rounds of 7.62 NATO, one  round of .50mm, one  dane gun, one  locally-made pistol and two  megaphones.”

He stated also that  one of the top commanders of   Boko Haram believed to be   the Amir of Bulabulin Nganaram, was killed in one of the raids  in  Bulabulin, Nganaram, Aljajeri and Faluja areas of Maiduguri.
Olukolade added  that the   reduction in the spate of bombings in places outside the North- East  indicated clearly that security operatives were winning the war against terrorism in spite of the  attacks by the sect on  soft targets.

He explained that the improved security situation was responsible for the decision to ensure a phased restoration of telecommunications services in states under emergency rule starting with Adamawa.

Olukolade pointed out that  the cordon and search operations were  largely successful due to  the cooperation of indigenes of the area and special  dogs used to aid the  efforts.

He said, “A number of terrorists have been apprehended by the Special Forces.  Many of them have also died in battle with the forces.  Various resources,  including trained military police dogs facilitated the arrest of insurgents who tried to infiltrate the cities after being dislodged from their bases at the outset of the operations.

“Cordon and Search Operations have started enjoying tremendous cooperation of locals.  Several terrorists, including their foreign members are being tracked down.  Key terrorists, especially those in the cadre of Amir as well as those helping in their renewed mobilisation and recruitment of minors are being hunted.”
On the controversy  over  Al-Mustapha’s fate in the Army, the Defence Headquarters argued that since the former Chief Security Officer to the late maximum dictator, Gen. Sani Abacha,   was neither dismissed nor sacked   during  the years of his trial, he remained a  serving officer of the Army.

“With regard to Maj Hamza  Al-Mustapha’s release, I want to confirm that he is still in the army and the case is going to be handled by the Army administratively  in line with the Harmonised Terms and conditions of service, ” the Chief of Staff to the Director of Army Public Relations, Col. John Agim, said during  the briefing.

Al-Mustapha’ spent over a decade  in detention for allegedly being the  mastermind  of the  killing of the wife of the winner of the June 12, 1993 presidential election, the  late Chief Moshood Abiola

Nigerian Church Where Animals Are Offered As Sacrifice

Even though insinuations of a slaughterhouse stick out starkly and grisly, this is by no means an abattoir. There is neither buying and selling of meat in this worship centre called As God Said, It Must Done, The Temple of The Most High God.

An evangelist at the church explained that the spot is called the ‘Earth Altar’ and that it’s where different types of sacrifices are offered unto God.

Located on a street named after it, Off Fakunle Street, Oke-Aro in Ogun State, a suburb near Lagos, the church is neither Pentecostal nor orthodox. All the same, both the shepherd and the sheep are strongly convinced that they are serving the living God the right way.

This reporter gathered that the blood splattered all over the ‘Earth Altar’ is that of animals. Similarly, in sharp dissonance, the mode of worship verges on the oddity, just as members cling on to what many people will consider unusual beliefs and teachings of the church.

As your curiosity wanders untrammeled at the multihued sight of the church and the strangeness of its name, you meet Prophet Blessed Dike, the general overseer and self-styled seer.

He tells you with celestial audacity that God revealed the name of the church to him while in a trance. “While I was praying God gave me the name of this church from the Book of Isaiah 46 verse 11”, he said.

A probing by this reporter further revealed that besides the ‘Earth Altar’, the church also has a place called the ‘Holy of Holies.’ A worker in the church, Mr. Isaiah Anyaehie explains that the ‘Holy of Holies’ was put up as a replica of the ark of God built by Moses in the Old Testament.

Like the pool of Bethesda in the Bible, members believe that anytime you are sick and you climb into the ‘Holy of Holies’, you would instantly receive your healing.

Here, members show forth when they also want to receive forgiveness of sins and other requests from God. “We have access to the ‘Holy of Holies’ anytime there is a special programme in the church. When you ascend into the ‘Holy of Holies’, you would be healed of whatever ailment you have and whatever you ask God for, He would do it for you,” another member said.

While you are still wondering why the entire premises is painted in red and white, the self-styled seer tells you that white symbolizes peace while red is totemic as it blots out sins.

“God used the blood to wipe out the sins of Adam and Eve. We offer sacrifices because that is what God commands. Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and other great men in the Bible offered sacrifices,” he said.

A female member of the church revealed to this reporter that members of this church are expected to wear red or white attires every first and last Sunday of the month. On the floor of the auditorium, there are straight red lines drawn across the floor. She explained that the red lines are Angels’ pathways. “God revealed to Daddy to make those pathways because angels usually visit the church,” she said.

There are two types of sacrifices that are offered in As God Said It Must Be Done, the Temple of The Most High God, this reporter gathers. There is the sacrifice of atonement, which is offered when seeking forgiveness of sins from God.

In carrying out the sacrifice, the prophet slaughters whatever animal the member provides at the ‘Earth Altar’ and ‘forgiveness’ is obtained from God after the prophet has prayed and blessed the person.

There is also the sacrifice of thanksgiving offered when a member wants to thank God for a favour granted him by God. The type of animal used for this type of sacrifice may vary based on individual needs. “You can bring a cow, a ram, a goat, a chicken or even a dove,” another female member of the church said.

Creepy and funny caveats are never in short supply at As God Said It Must Be Done, the Temple of The Most High God. For instance, a woman who is in her monthly cycle is not allowed to enter into the temple; else, she may be visited by God’s wrath.

Prophet Dike said “It’s a sin for a woman to come into the church while she is observing her menstrual flow. It is a very terrible thing. No woman has the right to come into the presence of God while she is menstruating.”

Despite his weird doctrines, Prophet Dike is very hospitable albeit in a way that one may describe as shocking. As soon as visitors to the church among whom was this reporter stepped into the auditorium, he instructs his workers to bring them refreshments.

This consists of two cartons of canned Guinness, popularly known as small stout. While you are yet to overcome the shock of seeing a prophet of God serve alcoholic drinks in the church, he further instructs that some bottles of whisky be brought to entertain his guests.

Seeing the surprise on the faces of his visitors, he immediately explained the reasons for his actions. “There is nothing like alcohol or strong drink in the bible, so where did you get that from? In Deuteronomy 14 verse 26, God says, “You shall spend that money for whatever your heart desires, for oxen or sheep, for wine or similar drink, for whatever your heart desires, you shall eat there before the Lord your God and you shall rejoice, you and your household.”

God told us to spend our income on what we want. If a man calls himself a man of God and he doesn’t have money, the anointing would turn to annoyance. It is better that you drink in the House of God than to go to a public place and misbehave” he said. Before the prophet was through with attending to his visitors, he had gulped two bottles of small stout.

“Are you not afraid of going to hell” this reporter queries the prophet? Then he laughs hysterically and said “It is unfortunate that you have been taught the wrong doctrine from the time you were little. Who told you that hell exists? Heaven and hell do not exist. Can a spirit judge a spirit? There is nothing like heaven or hell. They don’t exist. All the punishment is here on earth.

If a man cannot feed himself and his family, he is living in hell. If he cannot pay his house rent and cannot afford to buy a car for himself, he is living in hell. When your mates are enjoying life and you cannot enjoy it, you are living in hell.

“If you are suffering, it means that God is punishing you for something you have done, so there is no hell anywhere. When a man dies, that is the end. He does not go anywhere and God does not judge him. In Mark 12, verses 18 to 27, it is written there that “God is not the God of the dead but of the living.
“So what death are we talking about? If you are living well and you are enjoying your life, you are living in heaven. People like Aliko Dangote, Adenuga, Otedola, Obasanjo and other rich men are living in heaven already.

In the Bible, it is written that it’s God’s wish that we live in health and prosper even as our soul prospers.”
Led by God to steal?

Reflecting on how he came into the ministry as well as his early encounter with the “holy spirit”, Prophet Dike hinted “From my tender age, I used to steal a lot. Wherever any person kept money, I would steal it, even if I was not there when the money was being kept. You may have money in your pocket and you would not know when I would take it.

“I remember when my father used to hide his money in the spring bed in his room. Though I wasn’t around when he kept it, but the spirit of God would lead me to where the money was and I would just go straight to the room and to the exact spot where he kept the money and steal it. I did not know that it was the hand of God that was at work in me.

“This thing continued and because of that, my father sent me to Benin after my primary education. I went there but I continued having the same problems until I finally came to Lagos. It was while I was in Lagos that Jesus appeared to me and gave me the message from God.

“On April 14, 2001 by 7am, I was approaching Omole Phase 1 Estate when Jesus appeared to me in the form of a young man. I remember that I had a cigarette in my mouth and I thought that the odour of the smoke would offend him. He told me “Son, my father is calling you”.

“I had this encounter three times. In one of such encounters, Jesus came to my shop where I was a panel beater and told me, ‘Son, my father has need for you. The time for panel beating is up, now is the time to panel beat your children. Father said you are too stubborn, but if you think you are stubborn, He’s more stubborn than you.’

“After He said that, He disappeared and I didn’t see him again. I still did not obey. I went from one shop to the other but it was one misfortune after the other. At a time, my shop got burnt and that was when I decided to obey God’s instruction. That is why till date, no one can come out and say he shepherded me. I do not have any human mentor; it’s God that is my mentor. He speaks to me all the time and when I need anything, I go to Him for advice. No man can say he ordained me. It was God that ordained me.”

Man of God or Anti-Christ?
“People can call me names. Some may say I am an antichrist. Others may say I am Ogboni, but I do not care. My calling was foretold in the Bible. The book of Isaiah 42 verses 1-2, says “Keep silent before me, oh Islands and let the people renew their strength. Let them speak; let them come near and let them speak; let us come near together to judgment.

Who raised up the righteous man from the east, called him to his foot, gave the nations before him, and made him rule over kings? He gave them as the dust to his sword and as driven stubble to his blow.” The man from the East that God was referring to is me,” Prophet Dike boasted and added that “On October 28, 2012, I met with God in the Garden of Eden.

In that revelation, Oyedepo was there, Adeboye was there, Okonkwo was there, Pope John Paul was there and so many other pastors. While we were meeting, God was very angry and told me to drive them away , because they were not doing His will and they were encouraging people to worship Jesus instead of God. Four months after that, the Pope died. God raised me to test people to know whether they are obeying the law of God or the law of men. There is nothing like the trinity. What we have is God, the Word and the Spirit. And those are the three witnesses.”

God is angry with Nigeria
“One of the reasons why God is angry with Nigeria is because they have abandoned the day that God said the New Year should be celebrated. They are now celebrating January 1 as the New Year day.

It is totally wrong. New Year should be celebrated on July 10 each year and not on January 1. In the book of Leviticus 16 verse 29, God says: “This shall be a statute forever for you. In the seventh month on the tenth day of the month, you shall afflict your souls and do no work at all, whether a native of your own country or a stranger who dwells among you.”, he quipped.

On the New Testament
More curious to know why some of their doctrines negate what is written in the Bible, especially in the New Testament, Prophet Dike said “the New Testament is the mind of man but the Old Testament is the mind of God.

“In the Old Testament, God spoke directly to the prophets and they wrote down what He said, but in the New Testament, the disciples only wrote their minds. For instance, there is nothing like being born again because God can never be born again. The New Testament is not the mind of God. It is men speaking and not God. In the book of Matthew for instance, what is written there is the mind of Matthew and not the mind of God. But in the Old Testament, God spoke directly to his prophets. He spoke directly to people like Moses, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Solomon and so on.”

One of the cardinal points of Christianity is the belief that Jesus Christ is the son of God, and that he died for the sins of the world and rose again. Prophet Dike is furious over these assertions. “Jesus was just a servant and not God. He has finished his duty on earth the same way other prophets finished their calling,he said adding “Any Christian that leaves God and starts giving glory to Jesus should be ashamed. Jesus can never be God.

He is not the savior and he did not die for anyone. Anyone that tells you that Jesus is the son of God is a fraud and is not of God. Do the Muslims worship Mohammed? No. They worship only God, but you see Christians worshiping Jesus and even equating him with God.

“In the book of Deuteronomy, God says he is the only one that should be worshiped and that we should not bow down to any image. So why do people worship Jesus when he is just a prophet? He did not die for anybody’s sins. He died just like any other human being. If he died for you, why are many people still afraid to go to their villages? If you say that Jesus is the only son of God, then what was Adam? Was he not also a son?

“When Adam who was made in the image of God could not save you, then who is Jesus to save you? I don’t want to hear the name of Jesus because he is not God and has never been God. God is very angry with Nigeria because they have taken His glory and given it to a mortal man. Why we have this high level insecurity is because of God’s wrath.”

This reporter sought to know from some members why they attend the church and if they are not skeptical of the doctrines propagated by the prophet. The leader of the men’s fellowship in the church, Mr. Richard Onyekachukwu said that he would continue attending the church because God used the prophet to raise him from the dead.

His wife, Esther confirmed his claim. According to her, “My husband was admitted at LASUTH (Lagos State University Teaching Hospital) for what started as fever. The situation gradually worsened and he eventually died.

Doctors had certified him dead and his brothers had started making plans to take him to the village for burial. But when I called the prophet, without seeing my husband, he prayed for him and he came back to life.”

TB Joshua Sees A Big Revolution Happening Soon In Nigeria

Nigeria-based tele-evangelist Pastor T.B. Joshua of the Synagogue, Church of All Nations on Sunday carried on with his message for job creation with a call to include the youth in decision-making positions or risk mass unrest.

The pastor, speaking during a live service broadcast on his Emmanuel TV, said:

“I am seeing a revolution. I am seeing people take to the street. At the beginning of that protest, it might be stopped. Eventually, it will become so big that it cannot be stopped.”

In the message entitled ‘Carry Your Youth Along’ the prophet, however, said there was a way out and cited job creation for the youth and the creation of a new social value system.

This, he said, was because 90 percent of the youth have come to believe that it was by becoming political thugs that they could be successful, especially because those in the political offices do not want to retire and become statesmen.

He also said the youth should be considered for inclusion in all sectors of the economy as they seem to be more educated than their elders because they are exposed to modern technology.

“The youth, no matter the education they have, feel they have no place in politics and there is no job to keep them busy. There must be new orientation,” said T.B Joshua who has in recent weeks taken job creation as a pilot project of his ministry.

In an indirect chastisement of political leaders who cling to power, the Lagos-based cleric said it was time the youth were considered for important positions such as assistants to the elders.

Said he: “While the elders are ministers, the youth could be junior ministers. This little example of being junior ministers can change the situation of things. Tell your presidents – in every department of government or politics, the youth should be junior assistants to the heads of such departments.”

By doing this, he said, the youth would be groomed to take over tomorrow because they are leaders of tomorrow.

“This is a message to the whole world. This is because revolution is a weapon of change that is coming. This is the vision I saw. Revolution is coming when people will take to the street because life has no value anymore to the people out there.

“Any nation that will start it now, will avert the coming revolution. Carry your youth along in your politics and administration especially in ruling your country. I have said it; none of these will go without being fulfilled,” said the pastor who lamented that his messages right from the beginning of his ministry were never believed until they came to pass.

Among some of his predictions that came true were the revolution in Egypt, death of former Malawi president Bingu wa Mutharika and recently, the derailing of the train in a french-speaking country, just to name a few.

According to the prophet, if the youth are carried along, whenever there is a revolt or situation they will be available to readily speak to their colleagues and peace will be maintained.

“The youth want to see themselves represented in every area of life,” he said.

The pastor who has often been accused of being a prophet of doom for his hard-to-swallow predictions, was quick to warn his world viewers, saying he only speaks what God tells him.

“Those who cry peace to us, prophesy nothing but smooth things. Those who cry peace to you, victory be to you, all is well, unlimited favour, prophesy nothing but smooth things. As surely as God lives, I [T.B. Joshua] will tell you only what God says. If I am hated, persecuted and intimidated because of my accurate prophetic utterances – Blessed be to God who gives the prophecy!”

Chris Brown's probation revoked, but was not taken into custody

A judge in LA yesterday revoked Chris Brown's probation after the L.A County District Attorney filed legal documents asking the judge to revoke it and immediately remand Chris Brown into custody, according to a report by TMZ. The D.A asked for the revocation based on charges being filed against Brown in connection with a hit-and-run in May but fortunately for Chris Brown, even though his probation was revoked, he wasn't taken into custody, which is sometimes the case.

TMZ reports:
The judge just revoked Chris Brown's probation in the Rihanna beating case, but the singer will remain a free man ... for now.
Brown showed up at court today to fight the L.A. County D.A.'s motion to revoke his probation in the wake of hit-and-run charges stemming from a car accident but the judge granted the motion anyway, paving the way for a probation violation hearing in August.
If the judge determines Chris violated his probation, the singer could be sentenced to 4 years in prison. In the meantime, Brown has been released on his own recognizance.

In a postive note for liverpool fan steven G sign contract extension

The captain committed his future to the Reds by putting pen to paper on the deal at Melwood on Monday morning.

Immediately after signing the contract, Gerrard said: "I think everyone knows what it means to me.

"I've been here that long and so to extend, it's a big day for me and I'm really happy for myself and my family. It's great news.

"It lets me know the club thinks an awful lot of me and want me here.

"I'm glad it's all done and it's happened at the right time before the season, so I can just focus on playing as well as I can."

Having spent his entire career at the club, the deal further extends Gerrard's Liverpool love affair.

Since breaking into the first team in 1998, the midfielder has made 630 appearances for the club, scoring 159 goals, and helping the team to numerous trophies, including the Champions League, FA Cup, UEFA Cup and League Cup.

Managing director Ian Ayre added: "It's fantastic for everyone - the club, Steven and the fans.

"He is - and always has been - such a big part of Liverpool Football Club. Particularly in this day and age, it's rather unique to find a local player who has given his whole career to his club.

"We're pleased today to add an extension to his existing agreement and that keeps him here until the end of his career.

"We've said what we'll do in two years' time is review it again and see how happy Steven is. We seem to always be happy with him, so hopefully we'll just continue in that vein."

United make Fabregas bid

Manchester United have made a £25million bid to bring Cesc Fabregas back to the Premier League, according to reports.

The Barcelona midfielder has repeatedly said he wants to stay at his hometown club despite difficulty winning over some supporters last season.

That was his second year back in Catalonia following his return from Arsenal, who reportedly have first refusal on Fabregas if Barca decide to sell.

United's offer is believed to be below Barcelona's valuation of the Spain international.

United are searching for a creative midfield presence to offset the loss of newly-retired Paul Scholes.

Fabregas would become the second former Arsenal captain at Old Trafford, alongside Robin van Persie, if the Premier League champions managed to pull off a deal.
